In a shocking turn of events, Orlando Pirates' defense imploded as Magesi FC took advantage of their vulnerabilities to force a thrilling 3-2 win over Orlando Pirates in the Carling Knockout Cup. The match ended in heartbreak for the Buccaneers as a late equalizer from Nkota was ruled offside, sealing their exit from the competition.

The match got off to a disastrous start for Pirates, with Thabiso Sesane's own goal in the 39th minute setting the tone for a chaotic afternoon. Magesi FC's Abrahams had already opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a clinical finish, catching Pirates defense off guard.

Things went from bad to worse for the Buccaneers as Sesane's foul in the box conceded a penalty, which Chirambadare converted after Sipho Chaine's initial save. The halftime whistle couldn't come soon enough for Pirates, trailing 3-0.

The second half saw a spirited Pirates side push for a comeback. Dlamini's stunning strike from outside the box in the 83th minute gave the team hope, and Makgopa's goal in the 88th minute brought the score to 3-2.

As the clock ticked into added time, Nkota thought he had salvaged a miraculous draw for Pirates, but the linesman's offside flag crushed their dreams.
