As the clock ticked down, tension mounted. Stellenbosch FC pushed for a winner, but Pirates' defense held firm. Then, in the 90+2 minute, Mabasa struck the decisive blow, sending the Orlando Pirates bench into euphoric celebrations. Orlando Orlando Pirates secured a comeback 3-1, Mofokeng scoring a winning goalover Stellenbosch to win the MTN8 final again.

Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker was left fuming, questioning the crucial free kick that led to Mabasa's winner. "It's not a free kick. The referee constantly engages with players, and it's taken from the wrong position. What can I say? There's nothing more."

In contrast, Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro beamed with pride. "We conquered every problem, every challenge, and every obstacle. This team has the heart of a champion."

This hat-trick of MTN 8 titles underscores Orlando Pirates' dominance in South African football. With talent, grit, and an unyielding team spirit, the Buccaneers have solidified their position as the country's premier cup side.
