It is with great sadness to learn the passing of Connie Chume, a highly acclaimed actress, is announced. Born on June 5, 1952, in Welkom, South Africa, Chume's remarkable talent and dedication to her craft earned her a reputation as one of the country's most respected and beloved actresses.

Throughout her illustrious career, Chume appeared in a range of iconic productions, including Marvel's blockbuster hit Black Panther, as well as popular local series such as Gomora, Zone 14, and Rhythm City. Her performances were always met with critical acclaim, and she became a household name in South Africa and beyond.

Chume's legacy extends far beyond her impressive body of work. She inspired countless young actors and actresses, and her contributions to the local and international film industries will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.
