In an incredible display of talent and dedication, two South African artists, Tyla and Makhadzi, took home top honors at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30.

Tyla, aged 22, made a clean sweep by winning not one, but two prestigious awards - Best International Act and Best New Artist. This remarkable achievement marks a milestone in South African music history, solidifying Tyla's position as a rising star in the global music industry.

Makhadzi, aged 28, also made her mark by winning the Best New International Act Award. This recognition is a testament to her hard work and unique sound, which has resonated with fans worldwide.

The BET Awards, celebrating its 24th year, is a premier platform recognizing outstanding achievements in black entertainment. The ceremony was held at the Arena in Los Angeles, California, and was attended by a star-studded audience.
