Prayers pour in for Mampintsha after suffering from stroke. Mandla Maphumulo known as Mampintsha, Big Nuz group member and husband to Bongekile Simelane known as Babes wodumo, they also have a child together ‘Sponge’ suffered a stroke week ago.

The Afrotainment released a statement on behalf of Big Nuz verifying the speculations that Mampintsha who is 40-year-old was indeed admitted at King Edward Hospital in Durban, according to the Daily Sun he was later transferred to Durdoc Hospital in Durban Central. The statement released by Afrotainment,‘This is a public notification by Afrotainment, a record label based in Durban, KZN, South Africa. This statement serves as a notification to the public, Media, Promoters and Big Nuz fans about businessman and artist, Mandla Maphumulo. 

The star as he is affectionately known as Mampintsha, from multi-award-winning group Big Nuz has suffered a minor stroke a week ago upon his return from a performance with Big Nuz. He is currently in hospital receiving medical attention and is under doctors’ observation.

The family asks that the public and media respect their privacy during this difficult time. We ask that you keep him in your prayers. Afrotainment wishes him a speedy recovery and we cannot wait for him to rock the stages again’.

 

Fans and artists have been sending him well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. Babes Wodumo sister whose name handle on Facebook is Nonduh Simelane posted on her Facebook account asking the public to give them privacy and prayers. ‘A lot have been asking me why I don’t answer calls and WhatsApp these days and why Babes ana Mampintsha hasn’t been showing up for gigs this is why’, Nonduh wrote this caption under the statement released by Afrotainment.
 She continued by saying, ‘We ask you to give us time and privacy at this time, I know you have questions and want answers but it’s the wrong time to answer and please don’t listen to rumors they aren’t important njengamanje we just need prayers’ she concluded.
