Nikita Yonela Mpofana (26) is also a victim of Gender Based Violence (GBV), she was physically attacked by her landlord from Mlazi township at Durban on Saturday afternoon, accusing her of stealing his mobicel cellphone. He started to beat her to a point where he stabbed her more than 2 times. “I came at the house around 3:00 PM, I was extremely tired. My battery died then I went to my neighbor to ask her to charger my phone because my charger was broken and left my phone with her. I got back to my room to rest and slept until it was late afternoon then i woke up and looked for my phone around forgetting that I charged it next door.
