Image/Google Former Orlando Pirates striker, Justin Shonga, has tragically passed away at the age of 27 after a short illness. The talented forward was a familiar face in the South African league, having played for Orlando Pirates from 2017-2018 to 2019-2020. During his time with the Buccaneers, he scored 16 goals and provided 16 assists. Shonga’s football career also took him to TTM, Cape Town City, and Sekhukhune United in South Africa, as well as Najran in the Saudi second division and Gagra in the Georgian Erovnuli Liga. The Zambian Football Association confirmed the devastating news on Sunday, June 30, announcing that Shonga had passed away in hospital after a short illness.
